Principal's Report
Term 4 Week 10 – my last newsletter to the Corpus Christi Community.
What a pleasure and privilege it’s been to be here at Corpus Christi for the last three school terms! It’s been a great experience to work at another school to see how things are done in a different setting, to meet new people, reconnect with old acquaintances and to get to know the school community. I thank all the students, the staff and parent body for being so supportive and for being and so proud of the school.
An experienced 'school inspector' once told me that on completing his 'inspections' of any particular school, he asked himself whether he'd like his own children to be enrolled there. On applying this question to my experience of Corpus Christi I can unequivocally state "Yes!" I'd have been very happy for my children to attend school here. I pay special tribute to all the staff (teachers and support staff) - they know each student very well and hold in their every day practice a genuine concern for the well being and learning of every one of them. Thank you also to Katie Kingsford who's been at the end of the phone and always available when needed.
Over what has been a long career in education, the time I’ve spent here will be treasured and I’ll take away many key learnings – some of which I’ll implement when I return to my regular position next year!
