Dear Parents and Carers,
We have made it to the fourth week of term in these
short four weeks we have managed some big milestones.
- ANZAC Day Liturgy
- Mother’s Day Breakfast and Liturgy
- Specialist Hockey Program
- NAPALN for Years 3 and 5
- Parent-Teacher-Student Conversations about Learning
- Walk Safely to School Day
- Welcome parents back to Friday Assembly (2:10pm)
On Sunday 22 May we have one more to add to the list - our Sunday Parish Mass at 5:30pm. We can't wait to celebrate Mass with our parish community. Please join us!
We are thrilled to offer families more opportunities to be part of our everyday school life. My thanks to all the families who have spent time with their child’s teacher to discuss progress to date and set goals for Term 2 and Term 3. It is important that we continue to nurture home-school partnerships and support our students in both academic and social development.
Winter Uniform
The temperature has dropped this week and we are officially at that changeover time.
From Monday 23 May all students will be required to wear full winter academic uniform (with sport uniform still on Wednesdays). The uniform shop online orders cut off on Thursday evening and orders are filled on Fridays.

Religious Education and Spirituality
School Parish Mass: Hosted by Kindergarten and Year 6, 22nd May at Corpus Christi Parish, 5.30pm. All are welcome. After mass there will be supper provided.
Sacramental Program 2022
In week 4, I met with the students completing the Sacrament of Confirmation. Once the students complete this Sacrament they too will be filled with the Holy Spirit just like Jesus’ disciples.
Sacrament of Confirmation: Wednesday 29th June at Corpus Christi Parish at 6.30pm.
Please make note of the date change.
On this day there will be a beautiful Liturgy in our Parish Church prepared by the whole school. Afterwards there will be tea and coffee provided by a booked coffee van. Then finishing with open classrooms where we invite you to enjoy a guide by your child(ren) as they showcase how hard they have been working this year.
We apologise for the date change and hope you can make it.
This weekend will be our sixth week of Easter (Sunday 22 May 2022).
The Gospel: John 14:23-26.
The reading from the Gospel this coming Sunday is reminds us of how God sent the Holy Spirit to us to remind us of how to follow in His footsteps. I ask that we take time to reflect on how we too are part of this important process for our children. We are role models for those who look up to us.
Linking with one of our PBL goals at CCW: Be your BEST You. We always encourage our students to continue to try their best in all aspects of life.
Many Blessings

Gifted Education- The Big Challenge!
At Corpus Christi, we strive to assist all students in identifying and working towards learning goals. Recent Parent/ Teacher/ Student interviews are an example of students reflecting on their learning and identifying where to next.
Through our work in the Diocesan program of Leading Learning Collaborative, we continue to gather information to know our students as learners. Our data helps us set individual learning goals and helps identify students who are high achieving or have the potential for high achievement. We plan for the next step and the next challenge with this knowledge.
We believe it is important for all students to be able to experience challenges and growth in their learning. We encourage students to take risks and make mistakes by aiming high and taking on board feedback so they can improve.
Sometimes students who have been achieving tasks confidently find themselves suddenly discouraged or doubting their ability. We need to as teachers and parents remind them that challenge is good
Through challenge growth and new learning occurs!
Keep learning and keep growing!
Covid Update
Positive Cases
We still have regular updates of Covid cases in our school. We do our best to ensure that cohorts are informed of active infections as best we can.
As per ongoing rules a positive case must isolate for 7 days, following a positive RAT or PCR test.
Please contact us to advise that your child is
* Isolating as a positive case
* A household contact
Household Contacts
Household contacts can attend school if:
* The child is well
* The child returns a negative RAT test
* The child wears a mask (at parents discretion)
Symptoms, Positive Cases and Isolating
You are reminded that students cannot attend school if they are showing any symptoms of COVID-19. These include fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell/taste, muscle/joint pains, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting, extreme tiredness, unexplained chest pain or conjunctivitis (eye infection).
If symptoms occur at any time, children should not attend school and should undertake a rapid antigen test. If a rapid antigen test is positive your child should isolate. If you cannot access a rapid antigen test, you can attend a PCR (nose and throat swab) testing clinic.
